Filyos Port is located in the Filyos district of Çaycuma, Zonguldak, positioning it at one of the most critical trade points on the Black Sea. Situated on the Black Sea branch of the historic Silk Road, this region holds significant geographical strategic importance. The port, located on the shores of the Black Sea, aims to be a key center in the trade traffic not only of Turkey but also of surrounding countries. This massive investment, implemented as part of the Filyos Valley Project, is designed to unlock the region's economic potential and lead the development of Western Black Sea, particularly Zonguldak. The port’s location provides a significant logistical advantage due to its proximity to international routes opening into the Black Sea, especially enhancing Turkey's position in energy transportation, mineral exports, and general cargo shipping.

Filyos Port, with its modern infrastructure and large capacity, holds the title of one of Turkey’s top 3 largest ports. The port is projected to have a total annual cargo capacity of 25 million tons, significantly contributing to both the Black Sea and Turkey’s trade volume. The port is designed to serve various sectors, including container shipping, general cargo transport, and energy logistics. Furthermore, the integration of railway and road connections with the port ensures easier access to Turkey's inland regions and industrial centers. Filyos Port is also aiming to become the central hub for shipments in the wake of natural gas discoveries in the Black Sea, preparing to play a critical role in energy logistics. Thanks to these features, Filyos Port is contributing significantly to Turkey's stronger position in international trade.
